The DeMers Ranch is located 7 miles southeast of Winner or 7 miles northwest of Colome.
In 1973, Lawrence and Ron started L & R DeMers Ranch, purchasing registered Limousin heifers. The Simmental breed was introduced into the operation in 1983. In 2002, the Limousin cattle were dispersed, and at that time, we started buying registered Angus cows. Today, DeMers Ranch is owned and operated by Ron and Ross. Consisting of 200 Simmental and 80 Angus cows, we host a private treaty bull sale every year, selling around 100 bulls in the area and surrounding states. The DeMers Ranch strives to select cows with strong EPD numbers and performance. When selecting herd bulls, we want them to be structurally sound, heavily muscled, with plenty of length and depth of rib, and clean-fronted.
DeMers Ranch is a big supporter of 4-H and FFA by helping kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family friends with livestock projects and donations. All members of the DeMers family have or still do serve on local youth agricultural boards because we believe the future of our agricultural industry is the youth.
If you have any questions about our operation, don’t hesitate to call. We love to talk about cattle, and you are welcome to stop by anytime.
